just look at the abbreviation for your answer MIB... you can fight aliens
2
Try the IMF, the World Bank or the UN. You can apply to teach at a community college or JC. You can also try regional organizations like the EU and AU.
3
Sounds l iike a great way to go and I am way past college age. With a global economy, if you were in international business and had another language, you are on top of the current job market. You will really be ready. If there is a track in Finance that is good. What schools are you considering?

Any executive position in a company will do. But if you lack experience you might try looking for a manager trainee job insted and then climb your way up from there. Better yet, why not go into business management consultancy? You can check more jobs that fit your credentials at http://www.diversityworking.com/searchJobs/ Post your resume so employers can find you.

Which college is best for online Masters degree MBA or International Business or Marketing?

Online MBA programs miss the most essential element of the MBA--the interaction and teamwork between students. I would ONLY take an MBA program that is offered through a program that also has a physical campus, and state schools are often the most cost-effective choice. Another benefit of the MBA program is the alumni network--does the school have an active alumni outreach? Also, what is the placement record of the school? The best major is the best for you. I could say accounting but if you don't like accounting, obviously that won't work. Marketing is good if you take the rigorous statistics classes that go along with it, as that is the most valuable aspect of marketing.
2
There are many colleges and universities that offer online degrees, and more specifically, many that offer an MBA program. Before you choose a program, I recommend you make a list of schools that offer programs in this area (check links 1 & 2). From there, compare the costs of each program, and consider your budget. Next, be sure that your school is accredited (check my 3rd link). Be sure that programs you're looking into not only are entitled what you want (ie international business and/or marketing) but also offer specific coursework that you find appealing. If you're going to spend money on an advanced degree, you want to be sure that you aren't 'bored' with the program itself! Good luck!
3
There is no answer for your question. The best program is the one that suits you best. The Official MBA Guide is designed to help you find it. You can search for distance learning programs and then specify criteria that are important to you, to find the one that is most suitable.

Also I did find 2-3 opening in international management and would like to know how the interview will look like? In most cases, although it varies by school, you will be taking a fairly broad set of courses in general business subjects, such as finance, marketing, human resources, etc., along with some specific courses for the international business concentration. I can't speak for all schools, but that may include things like international outsourcing, international entrepreneurship, international strategic management, etc. Many also have a language requirement and a requirement of a major project at the end, which could be a thesis, research project, or something like that.

What is the highest paying job for my qualifications?

Probably a portfolio manager, tough to say not knowing your experiences through school. And salary is based on the city you live in. Sure the job matters, but bartenders in New York make as much as bank managers in South Dakota.

What jobs can I get if I have an MBA with a track in International Business
What jobs can I get if I have an MBA with a track in International Business?
I'm finishing out my bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies and it has seriously opened my eyes to the world of business. Not to mention, I'd love to have the opportunity to travel to Europe and possibly even relocate there in the future to start a new life. My grad school of choice offers a Master of Business Administration with a track in International Business. I'd also have the option to study abroad in Rome, Italy for a summer semester. Would having a degree in International Business allow myself the opportunities to travel and work overseas? What kind of jobs could I get here in America? If language is an issue, I've been studying to become fluent in Spanish for a while now and once I finish I plan to study Italian. I've been told the transition between the two languages is much easier than English to Spanish.

If you don't already have a bachelor's degree, you can't get a master's degree. A master's degree is what is called a graduate degree, and in order to be eligible to enter a graduate program, you must have previously completed a bachelor's (undergraduate) degree.
2
That depends on what you see yourself doing with it after you have graduated...Which will be most beneficial to you.
3

Masters in International Business with Masters in International Relations
Masters in International Business with Masters in International Relations?
Hi all, I did my M.Sc in Software Engineering(5 Years) and am currently working in an MNC(IT). I am half a year old in the company. I am planning to pursue my higher education in Australia sometime early 2009. I am planning to take up either the Double masters degree of 'Masters in International Business with Masters in International Relations' offered by Macquarie University or Masters in Information Systems Management at any good universities. Could any of you tell me about the effectiveness of the courses i have mentioned and the job prospects. I would also like suggestions on any similar course offerings by any universities.

why get 3 masters degrees? doesnt make sense to me. if you dont like what youre doing, then get a new one, but not 2 more. you need to become more specialized in a single area and stick with one company to advance within it.

What university in the western half of the U.S. should I apply to for a master's in International Business...
Please please help I have been searching so long for a school in the western half of the United States that offers a Master's degree in International Business, global management, or an International MBA, or something else in that vein. I want the program to have a study abroad program as part of the graduation requirement. Please help! 10 points best answer. I have scoured the web for many universities and I am at a loss. I'm hoping to spend about $20,000 or less per year for the program. My undergrad GPA is 3.6 at a Cal State, so I know I won't get into a top school. Just so you know what is possible for me to get into. You know, I always did want to go to CSUF. I never knew they had an international program. Thanks! Cal State is fine. I just posted my stats so that no one would say "USC" or "Berkeley" or somwhere I can't get into.

Tons of people there have International Business as their major, and it is one of the top business schools in California, or even the country. You need to decide what career you want. If you want to be an attorney then go to law schools and concentrate on that. If you want business then go for a MBA.

Actually combining engineering and business is not uncommon. I would success maybe some classes in information technology. If you are interested in computer science, take programming classes. Java is very beneficial in the global market. If you are thinking engineering, I would suggest electrical engineering courses along with engineering management courses.

BBA in ccounting and then a MBA in international business...jobs?
I am wanting to get my bachelors in accounting and then my masters in international business. How is the job market following this tract of study? what kind of jobs can I look forward to as some entry level positions. Also will many jobs require experience for going into international business? If so what kind of experience?

Job prospects for accounting are still quite good and are expected to be so in the future. After your BBA in Accounting (and possibly a masters in accounting), you would then become an Associate at an Accounting firm (often at one of the "Big 4" firms: PwC, Deloitte, KPMG or Ernst & Young). After a few years there, you would earn your CA or CPA (accounting designation). You would then be able to pursue a wide variety of careers including: - Staying with the firm and attempting to make Partner - Joining a large corporation in industry as an Accounting Analyst/Manager and attempting to work your way up to CFO - Joining a smaller/mid-size corporation as the Controller/Director of Finance/CFO - Focusing in different areas, including business consulting, tax consulting, etc. At this point, you could also get your MBA. It's really a decision to be made much later in life however as its something you plan on doing to achieve a specific goal. Good luck!

I would rather do finance and taxation. Governments are always saying they will simplify taxation law to make taxation experts redundant - but I doubt they will do it. Far too many vested interests in all that convoluted legislation. That being the case job prospects do look bright for a long time into the future. Thanks Bill
2
You should get your masters of international business. Finance jobs are scarce right now and I think you should branch off to another field. I just completed my masters and it has already helped me to get job offers and interviews. I'm not sure if you have a program picked out already but ill attach a link for a good one. Good luck with everything.

Why aren't there any Masters in Business in the United States
Why aren't there any Masters in Business in the United States?
For instance a Masters in Marketing, International Business etc.? When I look at most schools, they only offer MBA's. And MBA's are mostly targeted towards people who come from non-business backgrounds. I saw that they have Masters in Business in other countries, yet they do not have them in the States at all from what I see. Why is that? And what grad school are you suppose to go to if you completed your undergrad degree in business?

He He , I can see myself in you . Right best way to find about course in Germany is to go to their web site. Now ,if you do a course in German language, it wil be difficult to find a job in Australia. If you want to settle in Australia , its better to study there.

Jobs * Administrative Manager * Global Business Manager * CEO * Business Analyst/Consultant * Entrepreneur According to International Business Careers, www.international-business-careers.com, the bonuses of an MBA within the international MBA master's degree program are worth it. With the increasingly international business economy and conglomerate of cooperatives between countries and organizations like the International Monetary Foundation, the unique skills of the international MBA master's degree command greater need.

What exactly is a business school
What exactly is a business school?
I always thought it's for postgrad students that want to do an MBA or some business relevant masters. That's what I thought. But now I'm a bit confused. For instance. Macquarie University in Australia offers a Master of International Business and a Master of Commerce. But it's taught by the faculty of Business & Economics and not their business school. At other schools the same majors are taught by the business school. So why are some of these Masters offered by the university and others such as the MBA always by the Business School?

The subjects are different - MBA is more technical - if it wasnt for the fact it was a Masters degree it would be taught at a TAFE (which is what the business school sorta is). The other Masters offer insight in how to negotiate in international situations, policy formation etc which is part of the university background/culture.

MBA or Master? What is better for a career in business
MBA or Master? What is better for a career in business?
I got my B.A. in business and looked at several MBA programs and Master programs for International Business etc. It seems that the requirements for the MBA program are a little tougher, since they always require the GMAT and a lot of work experience. I don't really have that, but would like to go for a higher degree. So should I go for the Master or the MBA?

Personally, I believe that any education helps. However, the MBA degree definitely has a bit more marketability when searching for a job. Any good MBA program will produce a graduate with a common set of recognizable business skills for the marketplace. MBA's also have a strong network of alumni that can help in your professional life after graduation. I work in finance, and have seen a few people with MS degrees in various business fields, e.g. accounting. This seems to be helpful in that particular field of specialization, and sometimes is viewed as a step towards an ultimate PhD. Good luck!

Can I get Masters Degree in International Business with a BS in Philosophy?
I am thinking of getting my Masters degree in International Business because thats what really interest me. My current undergraduate college only offers a minor in IB and its not very informative, I am wanting to major in Philosophy and minor in Business Administration. So with that said, do you think I would have a good chance working for an international company or being able to get in a Master's program regarding International Business?

Definitely. Master's programs in IB (at least in the US) will care more about how well you do in your classes than about your specific course of study. If you want a leg up on the competition, I would suggest doing an internship with an international company; grad schools like to see your interest and commitment. Other than that, taking business classes is definitely a good idea, and you can also try and take related courses in other disciplines if you have time to take electives (poli sci, international affairs, some foreign language).

Do you think it's good to have a Masters in business
Do you think it's good to have a Masters in business?
I was originally thinking of doing an MBA, but these degrees seem incredibly expensive and very time consuming as well. So I was thinking of doing a Master in International Business instead. Not cheap either, but a little cheaper at least. Do you think it's worth it to do a Master in business or employers won't really care about it? I mean, do you think it will help me in the long run?

You must be speaking about some specific school, because normally there is no difference in price between an MBA and a Master of International Business, and they aren't necessarily all that expensive. I can tell you that the MBA is much better-accepted than other masters degrees for business careers. As to how much it will help you, it really depends on both what you want to do and where you are in your career. If you just graduated from undergrad, unless you get a very technical degree, it really won't help you much. If, however, you have been out of college for a minimum of 3-5 years, it can make you eligible for the next level of management, if that is what you want to do. b
2
Depends. Do you plan to live in NYC? If so, go for it! Or do you plan to live in Waterloo, Iowa? If so, hmmm, it'll help, but not as much. If you plan to live in Bailey, Texas, don't even think about it!

It's very similar to a regular MBA program but with emphasis on managing and dealing with issues pertaining to the part of a company that has operations overseas or that deals frequently with foreign subsidiaries and partners. Many companies have separate divisions for domestic and international operations since each may have separate goals and strategies. The curriculum would include all the usual MBA courses: management, finance, accounting, marketing, human resourses, business law etc...plus courses about managing operations that are in different countries besides your own, dealing with cross-cultural and cross-legal issues. The career options are the same as those with a regular MBA: an entry-level management position or mangement trainee but in an environment that deals more with overseas than domestic operations.

The career options are the same as those with a regular MBA: an entry-level management position or mangement trainee but in an environment that deals more with overseas than domestic operations.

Master Business Psychology
Master Business Psychology?
Hello! I am currently studying International Business & Law (bachelor), but I would love to get my master's degree in Business Psychology, does anyone have an idea which universities offer this course? As I've been checking internet and the only school I can find is the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (but this course takes 7 years) and I hope there is an opportunity to do this course in 2 years. I hope someone will be able to help me, thank you in advance!! Sophie

I think that what you are looking for is Industrial/Organizational Psychology or I/O psychology for short. You can find TONS of programs in that. Most are short, and plenty of state schools carry the degree. Seems to be high demand. Good luck!

i want to study international business and theater but idk what to do when it comes to deciding on a major.?
i would like to get a masters in international business but i am also interested in getting a theater degree. is it possible to study both at the same time or would you guys advise me to do other wise? i want to go to grad school for further education in international business and i do not know if having a theater minor or major with an international degree would hurt my chances of getting in. help!!!! thanks.

You're going to find it very difficult to purse a theater degree as well as something else at the same time. It takes up a lot of time, and international business often feels like a double major in itself by combining culture/communication classes with the business/economic aspect of the field.

Hi, I was like you in university, I loved theater and acting but wasn't sure what to do. What I did and turn to be quite good is, first get the degree or/and masters in business. Any business degree will be useful in a wide selections of jobs and countries then after that it is up to you: You can simply do a certificate in theater and acting from the local college or go for a full on degree... this way there is always a plan B if theater doesn't work.. Good luck

Which Major would be more benificial out of International Business and International Studies?
I was leaning toward International Business knowing the fact that you could go back to get a Masters in Business Administration in the future. Also, I was think with the business degree, a person could be more marketable as far as job opportunities.

A business degree is absolutely more marketable. And, as you mentioned, you could get an MBA (with an emphasis in global business if you want).

International Master of Business Administration or Master of Public Policy and Management
International Master of Business Administration or Master of Public Policy and Management?
Hello , I am about to get into grad school , the thing is that i am not sure with which major it'd be easier to find jobs after graduating. I am an international student and i am looking to work in the US and later moving back to Europe. I have to choose between any of these three majors and i'm extremely confused : International Master of Business Administration ; Master of Public Policy and Management; or Master of education in Counseling and Guidance. I was a Political Science major in undergrad and it has been extremely hard to find a job in that area especially since as an international student i can't work for government organizations. I would deeply appreciate your opinions.

To be honest with you it is close to impossible to get sponsorship for a corporate job in the US with the masters programs that you listed. The US work visa application and green card require that you have some special skill that can be quantified. Example of that would be technical skills. The exception to that is if you an expert in a particular field. Another exception would be finding a job with educational institutions which have slightly different regulations. I hope this helps you in making your decision.

What can be done with a masters in International Business and a bachelors in Japanese
What can be done with a masters in International Business and a bachelors in Japanese?
I am focusing on a five year business program, but I need to choose a language to go with it. I feel that Japanese would be great because of all the economic relations we have with Japan.

Personally, I'd suggest Japanese, but I'm biased. I'm Majoring in Japanese with a minor in business. To learn enough Japanese in order for it to be useful in business would require at least three, maybe four years plus time speaking it naturally to other people. Same with Chinese. Though the business opportunities in both those countries are great. I love Japanese, but it can be tough. If you think you can handle both, go for it. Otherwise, a European language wouldn't require learning a new writing system.

I think you should pick the school you would like to attend, and they will provide you with all the necessary requirements; having your credits transferred and depending if it's going to match with the number of credits required for Bachelor in USA you can go to MBA right away. But contact the school first.Hopefully that helps!!

I passed the GMAT and went right in to business school to get my MBA at Keller Graduate School of Management. I have a BA in physics (yes, Bachelor of "Arts" in "Physics") ... it wasn't a problem at all. There are other schools that will do the same.

2
An MBA would probably be your best bet in giving you the most options for post school career. Many people return for this degree wanting a career switch and boost.

Can I get a masters in international business with a psychology background
Can I get a masters in international business with a psychology background?
I am currently a junior in college studying psychology, but I really want to get into international business. However, it's too late to switch to business as an undergraduate, so my question is, do business graduate schools accept students with other backgrounds like psychology? Should I at least take some basic courses as an undergraduate like economics?

Don't worry about what youre studying as an undergrad. You can basically take anything you want in grad school! As a disclaimer, you may need to audit certain classes to gain a background in that area... like you may need to audit certain business classes like accounting, management, that sort of thing, so that you have a working knowledge of the field. Prior to starting (or applying!) to grad school for that subject, you SHOULD take some business courses. It will help enormously. You don't need to get a BA in that area to get into grad school, but you DO need to show to the school that its not a snap decision and that you are investing time and money in that field. Remember, grad schools accept less students each year than undergrad schools, so theyre a lot more selective about who their alumni will be. See if you can take business classes at area schools via cross registration, or, finish this degree and then go work a while to pay down debt while you attend classes for business as well... and then apply to grad school later on when you have a solid background. Its possible, and I was in a similar situation. Its hard work, but keep your eyes on the prize!
2
You can certainly pursue a masters in any field, no matter what your undergrad degree. It's to your advantage to have a background in another field to give you a unique perspective. Knowing about psychology in a business setting would give you quite a leg up, really! Yes, you should take some core courses like Econ or Marketing at your school, or even at a community college where it's cheaper and less pressure. You should have decent marks in whatever undergraduate degree you attained, but a 4.0 isn't necessary either. Take some prep courses for the GMAT to get you familiar with the format. But you're well positioned to go for a masters, and don't hesitate to go for it!

you can get an mba with a psychology background. I actually know somebody who got their undergrad in psych, and then did a phd in business. i personally think that psych is a good background for business. you can always do I/O psych. that blends right into business. if you are looking to go into international business I would suggest doing a couple economics classes as well as an international management class and a business strategy class if you can. did you look at the possibility of a business minor. Psych/Business blend really well. I would know. My wife is PhD in psych. Her father has a PhD in psych as well. I'm in finance. We know tons of people who are in I/O psych with business backgrounds and tons of people who are in business with psych backgrounds. Its more common than you think. As far as the GMAT, it is quite similar to the GRE. The only major difference is that the essays pertain to business questions. But essays do not count toward your score, they are scored separate. You need atleast a 600 on your GMAT to get into a decent MBA program.

I'm getting my MBA with an undergraduate degree in psychology. It works out great and I believe you get the best of both worlds. Most who majored in business as an undergraduate are usually somewhat burned out by the time they graduate.

Personal Statement All candidates are required to complete a personal statement as part of the application process. This essay is an important factor in the Admission CommitteeĆ¢€™s decision. As a guideline, we suggest a personal statement of two to three pages in length. Indicates required field Please describe your short-term (within five years) and long-term professional goals. How will your current professional experience contribute to these plans? What skill set will you need to achieve these goals? How will Hult International Business School help you attain these goals? Yeah, there are all sorts of folks out there who will help for about $100 per hour. Expect to pay $300 to $500 for a personal statement. There are also lots of unqualified and incompetent writers who will claim they CAN help but aren't even worth $5 per hour. If you Google, you can find tons of advice on "writing a personal statement for college admission" so you can do it yourself. Good luck.

You pretty much need to impress them or convince them I could say as to why they should have you as a student. Most papers are done APA style so you will double space the lines on Office Word. This means less words per page. It is not as overwhelming as it seems once you make a list of what you can say about yourself and plan out the order you need it in. Basically you can use 1 page a piece for each question or more or less on each as you need. Hope this helps some. Good luck! (I had to write one to get into AIU. As bad as I thought it would be, it wasn't so bad. Keep in mind they want you to succeed and that means not turning you away for a success in a college elsewhere. Give them good strong reasons why they should allow you there as a student).

What should I do, a Master of Applied Finance or a Master of International Business
What should I do, a Master of Applied Finance or a Master of International Business?
I have an undergrad degree in finance, but have not been able to do anything with it so far. So I was looking into Master programs, but am unsure if I should rather do the Master of Applied Finance or the Master of International Business and what opportunities these degrees might lead to. Even though I have a Bachelors in Finance, I thought it was really hard and has not done me any good. So I am not that inclined to do Finance again unless it's really worth it. Can't find anything right now and school is a huge investment, both time and money. That's why I was thinking of doing these degrees in Australia since it's cheaper and the schools are very reputable.
